Ponzi Vineyards

Three Single Vineyard Wines

Founded in 1970, Ponzi Vineyards is one of the key players in creating the world class wine region that is the Willamette Valley. Owned and operated by sisters Luisa and Anna Maria, Ponzi Vineyards is one of the nation's few sister-run wineries and one of only a handful of Oregon's second generation wineries. With an established legacy of fine Pinot Noir and Chardonnay in the prestigious Chehalem Mountains, Ponzi Vineyards has always maintained their status as winemaking innovators.

This exclusive tasting will be a night to remember as we get to sample some of the most unique and noteworthy wines to come out of the Willamette Valley in recent years. Please join us and the Ponzi Vineyards resident Sommelier, Andy Burke, as we dive into the legacy and terroir of Ponzi Vineyards!

The Wines

Exclusively for the Telluride Wine Festival, Ponzi Vineyards will be presenting a collection of Single Vineyard masterpieces from their 2017 and 2018 vintages available only from the vineyard.

2018 Ponzi Arneis

The Arneis is a rare Italian varietal that was specifically cultivated in 1990 for five acres of the Ponzi Vineyards due to their climactic match to this varietals native Piedmont region in Italy. This is a truly unique opportunity to taste one of the rarest varietals grown in the US and Italy!

2017 Ponzi Avellana Chardonnay

Just named in the 2020 James Suckling Top 100 wines with 96 points, this single-vineyard Chardonnay is a stunning example of opulence and balance.

2017 Ponzi Vigneto Pinot Noir

Also a single-vineyard, grown at 880 feet of elevation, this Pinot Noir showcases all of the dark fruits and herbaceous notes we love, combined with surprisingly long, rustic tannins.
