The Telluride Wine Festival is a Non-Profit 501 (c) 4 Corporation.
Our mission is to provide educational programs to our attendees that increase awareness, interest and a better understanding of new and developing aspects of wine and food production, preparation and consumption. Our goals also include raising money for our chosen charities.
This year's beneficiaries: TELLURIDE CULINARY ACADAMY
Mission To provide an atmosphere where young hospitality professionals may find instruction and practical experience in culinary arts in a resort environment.
Goals -Educate and train young culinary professionals -Provide a greater level of talent for Telluride’s hospitality industry -Create loyalty and interest from young people in our mountain community -Mitigate slow off season economy
Structure -Fulfills need for rotational externship of six months required by most quality hospitality education programs -Two months of hands on training in structured classroom environment followed by four months of placement in one of Telluride’s participating hotels and restaurants -Two sessions: Spring and fall -Final practical for the students will be to plan and execute a fundraising gala dinner at the close of their term completely organized by themselves: A harvest dinner in summer and a holiday banquet in winter.
